After high school I worked in the woods for a while, worked as a commercial fisherman crabbing, longlineing, trolling, seining, and tendering. I worked for 15 years as a truckdriver and equipment operator for a freight company. For the last twenty years I've worked for the State of Alaska as a boat officer on a research vessel. I've been the captain for the past five years, I'm hoping to retire this year.
I married Annette Samuelson on 1-22-1966 the year of the first super bowl. She has been by my side at everything we've gone threw both good and bad. Annette has been not only my partner in life but also my best friend.
