I closed Sea Level B & B that was downstairs in my house. Have remodeled the entire downstairs and moved into it myself. Now have a great space for parties so hosted a breakfast during the reunion. I retired from the Petersburg School Board in March. I've really enjoyed public service but decided it was time for someone else to serve. I was first elected to the School Board in 1981. Went off in 1987 then served on the Hospital Board for 13 years. In 2007, 20 years after I went off the School Board, I decided to run again. Figured out that I've served 27 years, 13 1/2 on Hospital Board and 13 1/2 on School Board. Except for some education, some travel and working 10 Legislative Sessions in Juneau, I've lived my entire life in Petersburg. I still think it is a wonderful town and great place to live. Yes, it does rain too much! But the views and the people make up for that.
