I remember when this happened, although I do not remember the month or exact date. I was stationed at Keesler AFB, Mississippi and a friend of mine returning from a two week leave in Florida, his home, told me, about reading in his hometown paper, a major housefire in Petersburg, Alaska and took the lives of three children and their father, Edward Skeek. It was later confirmed from my family via letter. I believe the family to consult with would be the daughters of Ed & Margaret Sakamoto to get further details. (From Pete Martin)
