Born on October 3rd, 1949 to Myron Sr. and Gertrude Lyons in Petersburg, Myron peacefully passed away on June 21st, 2023 in Petersburg.
Myron was gentle, quiet and an avid hunter and fisherman. He spent much time teaching his kids and grandchildren the ways of life in Southeast Alaska. Myron enjoyed laughing and telling stories with his many friends, and even dancing during his younger years. His many jobs included: commercial fisherman, mill worker, PFI cold storage employee and flying with cousin Butch Williams as a spotter for the herring fishery in Sitka.
Myron Jr. is preceded in death by grandparents Casper and Amy Hallingstad, parents Myron Sr. and Gertrude, brothers Jaycee and Thomas, as well as daughters Brenda and Sandra. He is survived by brothers Colyn, Jeff, Byron and Gordon, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Myron will be truly missed and remembered by many who cared for him. A graveside service will be held at the Petersburg cemetery, a date is to be determined.
